City Council Is Requested To Approve Bonds

120114 Public Hearing - Issuance of Two-Thirds Bond -Downtown Improvements City Council is scheduled to conduct a public hearing on May 7, 2012 at 5:30pm as required by state law on the issuance of the referenced 2/3 bonds; and following the public hearing, City Council is requested to approve the bond order authorizing $5,785,000 Downtown Improvement Bonds.

plan is to bury electric lines along Main Street from I-85 Business at South Main Street to Eastchester Drive at North Main Street would include new traffic signals that would work with the buried power lines.

Kivett Drive Industrial Park Entitlements Hearing

Carolina Investment Properties, owners of the Kivett Drive Industrial Park, are proposing an expansion to accommodate an expansion for Ralph Lauren Corp. The company’s existing facility includes distribution and office functions, and the expansion would create 500 jobs and add $142 million to the local tax base.

120099 Land Use Plan Amendment Case 12-01 - Carolina Investment Properties A request by Carolina Investment Properties to change the Land Use Map classification for approximately 11 acres from Low Density Residential to Light Industrial. The site is lying along the south side of Cedrow Drive, east of I-74. In addition, the Planning & Development Department is recommending the Land Use Map classification for an additional 5.5 acres, lying east of the applicant's request and west of N. Pendleton Street, be changed from Low Density Residential and Institutional to Light Industrial.

120100 Ordinance - Rezoning Case 12-03 - Carolina Investment Properties A request by Carolina Investment Properties to rezone approximately 25 acres from the Residential Single Family-9 (RS-9) District and Conditional Use Light Industrial (CU-LI) District to a Conditional Zoning Light Industrial (CZ-LI) District. The site is lying along the south side of Cedrow Drive, east of I-74.
