City Council Is Requested To Approve Bonds

120114 Public Hearing - Issuance of Two-Thirds Bond -Downtown Improvements City Council is scheduled to conduct a public hearing on May 7, 2012 at 5:30pm as required by state law on the issuance of the referenced 2/3 bonds; and following the public hearing, City Council is requested to approve the bond order authorizing $5,785,000 Downtown Improvement Bonds.

to bury power lines and streetscape Main Street from Westwood Avenue to Eastchester Drive, the installation of street lighting, benches, trees, pedestrian islands and other street-related improvements and the acquisition of any necessary land and rights of way

$4.1 million Phase 1 would extend from Westwood Avenue to State Avenue – the Uptowne stretch of North Main Street
$1.45 million Phase 2 would extend from State Avenue to Eastchester Drive

$2.75 million Phase 3
$2.9 million Phase 4

would bury lines from Russell Avenue down South Main Street to I-85 business
plan is to bury electric lines along Main Street from I-85 Business at South Main Street to Eastchester Drive at North Main Street would include new traffic signals that would work with the buried power lines.
